THEM CROOKED VULTURES will officially kick off its first North American tour on Monday night (October 5) in Nashville. The highly hyped supergroup, which consists of FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl on drums, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE singer/guitarist Josh Homme and LED ZEPPELIN bass player John Paul Jones, has been the subject of furious international buzz since making its official live debut on August 9 in Chicago. Although a debut album has been completed, a release date has yet to be announced.
FOO FIGHTERS drummer Taylor Hawkins told The Pulse of Radio he's heard the VULTURES' record and likes it. "It's really great," he said. "I'm really proud of Dave, and I think he's having a real blast not having to shake his booty at the front of the stage for a while, you know?"
THEM CROOKED VULTURES taped a performance for the Austin City Limits TV program on September 30, with an airdate to be determined.
Several short clips of both live and studio performances by the trio have already surfaced on YouTube.
